This topic describes how to select individual tags and copy and paste them one at a time into a target segment in the editor window in the Editor view. Alternatively, you can select a chunk of text that includes a number of tags and paste this into a target segment; the tags are copied and pasted with the text.
NOTE |
You can specify that adjacent tags should be grouped together so that they can all be selected in a single operation. The setting that switches tag grouping on and off is located in the Options dialog box under Editor window. |
To copy and paste individual tags:
In the source
segment in the Editor
window, select the required tag
.
Copy the tag to the clipboard. You can either press Ctrl+C or right-click and select Copy from the shortcut menu.

If the tag is part of a pair, a ghost tag is also inserted. The ghost tag is there to remind you that you need to copy the second tag into the segment.
Type the text to be formatted by the tag pair.
Repeat steps 1-3 to insert the closing tag of the pair. The ghost tag disappears.
