You can work with and translate bilingual files from SDLX or previous versions of SDL Trados in SDL Trados Studio. You may want to work with these file types if you have a mixed workflow with some team members working in SDLX or previous versions of SDL Trados and other team members working in SDL Trados Studio.
The following support is available for the following bilingual file types:

SDL Trados TRADOStag TTX Files |
SDL Trados Studio supports TRADOStag (TTX) files created in previous versions of SDL Trados. They can be opened directly in SDL Trados Studio. |
SDLX ITD Files |
SDL Trados Studio supports ITD files, created in SDLX or SDL TMS. They can be opened directly in SDL Trados Studio. |
NOTE |
SDL Trados Studio cannot process bilingual RTF files that were created when translating a document in Microsoft Word with SDL Trados Translator's Workbench in previous versions of SDL Trados. If the file was in a native Word .doc format, this process happened behind the scenes. |
