The Messages window displays error messages that have been generated for your documents. Error messages may be generated when you are opening or saving a document, for example, or during processes such as verification. The Messages window is always present in the Editor view (unless you close it completely) but it is located behind other Editor view windows.
To display the Messages window, click the Messages tab name or select View > Message from the menu bar. The Messages window is displayed automatically any time an error message is generated for your document.
