A recurrence allows you to schedule or repeat an action, and the
frequency with which to repeat that action.
Within WorldServer you can add, view, modify, or delete recurrences.

Note: If you plan to execute a rule on a recurrence,
you need to create the recurrence first.

WorldServer includes three recurrences with which you can control
how frequently garbage collection and population of the periodicWorkStatus table
(which records periodic snapshots of task and project activity) occur.

GC_TASK – WorldServer removes obsolete objects periodically to reclaim database space. This process is called “garbage collection.” The garbage collector's default schedule is to run every night at 1AM. It can be controlled by modifying the recurrence named GC_TASK. Garbage collection will run as specified by the recurrence. If you adjust the recurrence, WorldServer must be restarted to notice the change.

SEGMENTATION_GC_TASK – WorldServer schedules a separate Segmented Assets Cleaner run that cleans up marked segmentation data in asset type workflows. This is one of the seven cleaners run by GC_TASK. By default, it also runs nightly and its schedule can be adjusted as needed.Note: SDL recommends you run this recurrence at least as frequently as GC_TASK.
