WorldServer can translate content from
Microsoft®
SharePoint® 2007. WorldServer includes a pair of
automatic actions that, when incorporated into a SharePoint-specific
workflow, allow you to import and translate content from SharePoint,
and then export the translations back to SharePoint.
Within SharePoint, a language version of a site is called a
variation. SharePoint allows you to export
a whole site variation in an archive file called a CMP file. (The
CMP file is actually a Microsoft CAB archive, which is similar to
a ZIP file.) WorldServer imports and unpacks the CMP file, creating
a set of translatable files (assets) within a WorldServer project.
Once the project translation is complete, WorldServer then repacks
the translations into a CMP file, which you can upload to SharePoint,
thus updating the site variation.
