Of the options on the Explorer context menu, Remember Selection is unique. When you choose an asset and select Remember Selection from the context menu, the Explorer opens an additional pane on the right side of the Explorer window, called Current Selection, listing this remembered asset. Once a selection is remembered and listed on the Current Selection pane, actions in the Explorer are performed on that remembered asset or assets rather than any assets subsequently selected in other Explorer panes.

The remember selection function is particularly useful when you want to perform actions on two or more assets in different folders.

When you are done working with remembered assets, select the asset or assets in the Current Selection pane, right-click and choose Remove.
