Adding New Files

To add one or more files from your computer or a WorldServer location:

Verify that the Expand zipped files option is selected if you want to expand a zipped file.

Select a file location from:

Your computer
A WorldServer location

Tip: You can only select one file location at a time.

Select one of the following options for locating the documents you want to include in the quote or project:
- From my computer. Click Browse to add files from your computer.
- From WorldServer. Click to add files from a WorldServer location.
Select a file to upload.
Click add another to add more files and repeat steps 3 and 4.
The system stores the files in a temporary location.

When finished, click Copy Files Now to copy the files to a project or quote folder on the system.

Note: When adding files to an existing quote or project, be sure to click OK in the dialog box.

The uploaded files display on the right side of the panel. The system shows the relative path and filename for expanded files that had a directory structure in the zipped file.

Tip: Click

to show or hide the Add New Files section in the Edit Quote or Edit Project page.

About Analyzing: Scoping and Estimating Files

Depending on your permissions and selected Project Type, you can perform a preliminary analysis of the files associated with a project or quote after you finish copying the files. This analysis may include:

The name of each source file to be associated with the project or quote
The number of words in each source file
The estimated cost to translate the source file into each specified locale
The total cost to translate each source file into all specified locales
The cost associated with any additional charges and discounts associated with the applied cost model
The total cost, including charges and discounts to translated all files to each locale
