Scoping Configuration Properties

Apply the following properties when creating or modifying a scoping configuration:

An appropriate name for the scoping configuration. The name defined here is used to identify the configuration on the Management > Linguistic Tool Setup > Scoping Configurations page and must be unique.

Description

A more detailed description of the scoping configuration, perhaps including information such as appropriate usage of the configuration, or modification history.

Number of Ranges

The number of scoping ranges to be used by the configuration, between one and five. Depending on the value chosen here, set values for the match ranges below.

Note: You can set the number or ranges only once, during initial creation of the scoping configuration.

New Word/No Match

Text box

Set the ranges of the match percentage that will define a new word or no match during translation.

Note: If you chose 1 in Number of Ranges above, you cannot edit this range.

Fuzzy Matches

Set the ranges of the match percentages that will define fuzzy matches. Enter numbers only; do not enter a percentage sign. To create a valid range, make sure that the end of one range is the same as the beginning of the next range. For example,

From 0 to less than 60
From 60 to less than 70
From 70 to less than 80
From 80 to less than 90
From 90 to less than 100.

Note: You set ranges for fuzzy matches only if you chose 2 or greater in the Number of Ranges field above.
