HTML Settings
Settings for HTML file type (.htm, .html,.jsp, .asp, .aspx, .ascx, .inc, .php, .hhk, .hhc files).
Elements and Attributes page
Available options are:
Elements and attributes
See topic Elements and Attributes.
Entities page
Entities
On the Entities page, you can enable entity mapping and change entity mappings.
If entity conversion is enabled, when the SDL software reads the file, it uses the entity mapping list to convert any character entity reference (or numeric entity reference) in the document to its character representation, and before writing the output file, converts such characters back to their character entity form.
For example, if conversion is enabled, the character entity reference & in the input file will be displayed as the character & in the editor, and any occurrence of & will be written as & .
If a character entity is not selected for conversion, the character entity, rather than the character, is used in the editor.
Scripts page
Available options are:
Script translation
A script is an element of HTML documents, defined by the HTML tag pair:
<script>... </script>
Allow translation of all strings
Script strings are presented to the translator. For example, if the following script is in the source file:
<script type="text/javascript">
                document.write("Hello world!")
                </script>
The string Hello world! is presented for translation.
Allow translation of L_ strings only
Script strings that start with L_ are presented to the translator. For example, if the following script is in the source file:
<script type="text/javascript">
                document.write("L_Hello world!")
                document.write("not translated!")
                </script>
Only the string L_Hello world! is presented for translation.
Do not allow translation of any strings in scripts
No script strings are presented to the translator.
When the SDL software opens an HTML document for translation, it detects any character strings that are inside scripts. The SDL software can display the character strings for translation, or hide them from the translator. Usually, when a HTML document is opened in a browser, the browser displays the character strings. Hence, you should usually choose Allow translation of all strings.
Writer page
Available options are:
<Meta charset>
Determines what <META charset> tag to insert in the target, if any.
WorldServer uses the code page appropriate to the target language. For example if the target is Czech, it uses the charset Windows-1250.
Unicode UTF-8 Byte Order Mark
You can choose when the SDL file support software should insert a UTF-8 Byte Order Mark (BOM) in the target document.
