About the Microsoft Word 2000-2003 Studio File Type

The Microsoft Word 2000-2003 Studio file type presents the text defined by the settings for translation. The file type uses a series of configuration pages for these settings:

Non-translatable footnotes — Specify what footnote text to exclude from translation.
Non-translatable styles — Specify what text to exclude from translation, based on the text style
Non-translatable texts — Specify text to exclude from translation.
Order of text boxes — Specify the order in which text boxes are handled.
Other Settings — Choose miscellaneous options, such as whether to process document properties. SDL Studio cannot open a Word document that has Word's Track Changes enabled, but these settings include an option to allow SDL Studio to open a document with unaccepted changes if Word's Track Changes is disabled.
