TM Import
  1. In Tools > Translation Memories , select the translation memory (TM) into which to import TMX.
Tip: If you want to import TMX into a new translation memory, you need to set up a new translation memory first.
  2. Click Import from TMX File.
  3. In the Import dialog box, click Browse and select the TMX file to import. Click Next.
  4. In the Step 2 of 2 dialog, specify the appropriate language codes and whether you want the import to occur as a background process.
  5. Click Import.
The importer displays an Import Job ID and, when complete, tells how many TM matches were processed.
Note: The Import Job ID can be used, if needed, to roll back the import.
When you perform an import from a TMX file, the number of TM Matches in the log is only an indication of the number of records that are contained in the TMX file itself. It is not an indication necessarily of the number of records imported. In the case where all the language pairs of the TMX file are to be imported, the number of records added to the Translation Memory will be the same as the number of records processed. However, in the case where only one pair of the set of language pairs is to be imported into the identified Translation Memory, then a subset of records, typically, are being imported, but the count of TM matches processed is unaffected. You can view the entry for the specific Translation Memory in Tools > Translation Memory , and by comparing the value in 'Total entries' for the specific Translation Memory before and after the Import you can determine the number of records that have actually been added to the Translation Memory.
  6. When the import is complete, click OK.
  7. Refresh the page.
