Note: On-Demand
customers have a standard WorldServer and TransPort configuration
implemented automatically, which includes sample locales, workflows,
and so on. For more information, see the Getting Started: The WorldServer 9 Standard Configuration guide,
and only proceed if changes are required.

Tip: To use TransPort for creating
and managing projects and quotes, you need to define Clients and Project
Types, which require the configuration of several WorldServer components.
Some components such as workgroups or translation memory may already
be configured in your system (or have default configurations that
you can use). If you do not plan to use your existing system or system
default settings, refer to the following sections, which provide instructions
on setting up the necessary components for TransPort.

Note: TransPort requires a top-level directory
structure for storing all projects, quotes, and related files on a per-client basis. This top-level directory
is also used for all projects created using the Upload Files and Create Project feature. Therefore, the Client-based directory structure may impact
the setup and file-storage location of projects and associated files
going forward. For more information on organizing localization projects
within your organization, see the Creating
Clients section of this document.

Note: WorldServer allows for an unlimited number
of TransPort users. License verification is based on the users who
belong to User Types with TransPort-related permissions. If you add
any non-TransPort related permissions to a User Type, you need to
consider that these users will count against your WorldServer licenses.
