SDL Studio GroupShare acts as a repository and server for registered projects ("GroupShare projects") that are published from SDL Trados Studio.
On the Project tab in GroupShare you can view the state and details of GroupShare projects.
To manage projects, use Studio. The standard actions are available from Studio:
Publish
Check out
Check in
Delete
Work on a project
In Studio, all translation work is done within a project. When you translate a file, even if you do not specify a project, Studio creates a project to hold the information needed to translate the file, for example translation memories and the file types settings.
A project has one source language and can have multiple target languages.
A project has a workflow. The workflow defines the stages that a project goes through until the project completes. The workflow also defines the tasks that need to be done to move the project, or the project files, through the stages.
You can specify almost all translation memory and management details at the project level, and can sometimes override these for an individual file.
