Specify Access Rights to Read and Write an Entry

The data in a termbase is at one of three levels: entry, language, and term. A user needs different access rights to view termbase data in the SDL MultiTerm Client Components, depending on which of these levels the data is in.

You can assign these rights when you add or edit a MultiTerm role, from the Termbase Wide Access Rules and Entry Wide Access Rules tabs in the New Role and Edit Role windows.

To Read Entries

For a role member to see a termbase entry and its default descriptive fields (Entry number, Entry class and Created/Modified Date), assign the following access rights to the role:

Make sure that in the MultiTerm client component the user selected the Full layout or a customized layout that displays entry level fields.
