How to Create a Studio 2009 Project Package

Creating a package in a Studio 2009 format allows you to work with users of Studio 2009. When you create a package in this format, a Studio 2009 user can open the package.

Before you start:

Before creating 2009 packages, you should ensure that your SDL XLIFF file type settings embed the source files so that file types not supported in 2009 can still be edited. We recommend changing this setting prior to creating the project.

  1. Select File > Options.
  2. In the Options dialog box, select File Types > SDL XLIFF > General from the navigation tree.
  3. Set the Embedding setting to 100 MB.

To create a 2009 package:

  1. Select Projects view > Home tab > Packages group > Create Project Package. The Create Project Package wizard is displayed on the Select Files page. All files in the project, except for reference files, are included in the list.

  2. Follow the on screen instructions to create the package and specify package options.

NOTE

For details instructions, refer to the How to Create Project Packages topic.

  1. Click Finish to generate the packages and to go to the Creating Packages page.

  2. When the package has been created, click the Close button to close the Create Project Package wizard.

The package can now be opened in Studio 2009.
