In order to connect to a server you must first add the server to SDL Trados Studio. Once you have added the server and successfully connected to the server, the server connection details you have defined are retained in the Servers dialog box, where they are managed.
You will need the following information from your system administrator:
The address of the server computer.
Your user name and password for the server.
To add a server:
Select File > Setup > Servers.
In the Servers dialog box, click Add. The Add SDL Server dialog box is displayed.
In the Server Address box, enter the address of the server you want to connect to.
Select if you want to use Windows or SDL Authentication.
Click OK to add the server and close the Add SDL Server dialog box. The status of the server is displayed in the Servers dialog box. This indicates if the server is available to connect to.
Click Close to close the Servers dialog box.
