You can use the Hunspell or Microsoft Word spell checker to check your spelling in SDL Trados Studio. The Hunspell spell checker uses dictionaries installed with Studio and any custom dictionaries you have created. The Microsoft Word spell checker uses the Microsoft Word dictionaries including custom Word dictionaries.

Select File > Options from the Ribbon. The Options dialog box is displayed.
Select Editor > Spelling from the navigation tree.
Select to use Hunspell or Microsoft Word from the Active Spell Checker drop-down list.
Click OK to save your settings and close the Options dialog box.
SDL recommends that you now restart Studio before resuming translation.
