Select Server-based Translation Memory

Use the Select Server-based Translation Memory dialog box to select the a translation memory from TM Server to use with a language pair or to select a translation memory on which to base a new server-based translation memory.

To display this dialog box, click Add and select Server-based Translation Memory on the Translation Memory and Automated Translation page or click Browse next to the Create from box in the New Server-based Translation Memory wizard.

To select a translation memory, first select a server to the display the list of translation memories and then click on a row to highlight it.

Description

Server

Select the server from which you want to select your server-based translation memory. If the server you want to connect to is not listed, click the Servers button to display the Servers dialog box where you can specify server connection details.

Filter

Select an organization or resource library from the tree to display the list of  translation memories it contains on the right hand-side.

Show items in sub-locations

If you select this option, you can select a higher level location on the tree to display all translation memories within that location and the translation memories in all the sub-locations on the right-hand pane.

Show project translation memories

If you select this option, only main translation memory will be displayed on the right hand-side.

Name

The information on this row relates to this translation memory.

Description

The description of the translation memory on the server.

Location

The organization or resource library where the translation memory is located. For more information about organizations or resource libraries, see the SDL Studio GroupShare help.

Type

Indicates if this is a project translation memory or main translation memory.

Translation Units

The number of translation units that the translation memory contains.
