Translation Unit Status Column (TM Side-by-Side Editor)

The translation unit status column appears in the left of the TM side-by-side editor window in the Translation Memories view. The column displays icons that provide information about the current status of the translation unit. When an icon is displayed in this column it means that a change has been made to the translation unit. These changes are pending until you commit them to the translation memory. Once the changes are committed the icons disappear. The icons indicate:

  • If a translation unit has been modified.

  • If the translation unit has been marked for deletion.

  • If the translation unit has been edited and has failed verification.

The icons are illustrated below:

Icon

Description

No icon means that the segment has not been changed or marked for deletion.

edit_tu_icon.jpg Edited

This indicates that either the content of the translation unit has been changed or the content of custom fields associated with the translation unit, has been changed.

delete_TU_icon.jpgDeleted

The translation unit is marked for deletion.

edit_tu_icon.jpghelpbutton_close.jpgInvalid Edited

The translation unit has failed verification. This can occur if you have deleted all the text from one of the segments in the translation unit. In order to commit (save) pending changes you must have text in both the source and target segment of the translation unit.

NOTE

Verification on a translation unit occurs when you move your cursor from the translation unit to another location.
