SDL Automated Translation is an automated translation service. It performs translation without any human input to the process. There are two types of SDL Automated Translation:
SDL ATS community account for SDL Trados Studio users - Use this to connect to a free public translation service provided for SDL Trados Studio users.
Custom SDL ATS Server: Use this if your company has a custom installation of an automated translation service installed on a server.
