How to Navigate Segments

This topic describes how to navigate segments in the Editor window in the Editor view. By default, whenever you confirm a translation, the cursor moves automatically to the next segment requiring translation. To move the cursor to another segment manually, you can use any of the following methods:

  • Use the mouse to click inside the segment you want to work in.

  • Press Ctrl+Page Up to move the cursor to the start of the current segment.

  • Press Ctrl+Page Down to move the cursor to the end of the current segment.

  • Press Ctrl+arrow_down.png to go to the next unconfirmed segment.

  • Press Ctrl+arrow_up.png to go to the previous unconfirmed segment.

  • Click the next.png Next and the previous.pngPrevious buttons on the Home tab > Navigate group to navigate to the next or previous unconfirmed segment.

  • Use the scroll bar to scroll the segments.

  • Click inside the source segments and use the mouse scroll wheel to scroll them.

  • Separate the source and target segments into two lists and scroll them separately.

When source and target segments become misaligned, ensure that the cursor is inside a target segment and then clickscroll_replace_48x48-32.png Scroll source to target selection from the View tab.
