Step 1 and 2: Perform Initial Steps for Translation in WorldServer for a Regulated Industry

In WorldServer, specify your file type settings to allow you to do translation for a regulated industry. Then create a project with the files for translation and create the package to send to the translator for use in Studio.

NOTE

  • For detailed instructions about creating projects and specifying file type settings in WorldServer, see the WorldServer Online Help.

  • For information about creating packages in WorldServer to send to Studio users, see the WorldServer and Studio Integration Guide.

  1. To translate for a regulated industry, set up your Studio file type for Microsoft Word 2007 – 2013 so that you can work with files that have tracked changes in the source.
    • Display the Common settings page for this filter.
    • From the Track changes extraction mode drop-down list, select Display pending changes.
  2. Create a project in WorldServer with the updated MS Word .docx files.
  3. Create a WorldServer project package (.wxsz) and then send to the Studio user for translation.
