Click File > Options > Language Pairs > All Language Pairs > Batch Processing > Analyze Files to go to the Analyze Files Settings page. Here you can specify the settings to use when you run the Analyzes files batch task. This batch task is performed by default when a project is created as part of the Analyze Only task sequence. You can also run this task at any time during the project lifetime.
These settings examine project files and identify frequently occurring segments and unknown segments. The frequently occurring segments and unknown segments can be exported to *.xliff files for translating ahead of the project files. The translated segments are then added to the translation memory and the translations are then available to all translators working on the project.
The frequently occurring segment *.xliff files and the unknown segment *.xliff files are placed in the project Exports folder. Separate *.xliff files are produced for each language pair.

When this option is selected, the cross-file repetitions are counted. This counts segments that are duplicates of segments in a different file being analyzed in the same task. This option is selected by default. The number of repetitions (identical segments that occur more than once) in each file is counted by default in a separate repetitions count. |

Report internal fuzzy match leverage |
When this option is selected, the Analyze Files report shows the internal fuzzy match word counts. Internal fuzzy match analysis calculates the maximum additional leverage that can be obtained by the translator interactively translating the document with a translation memory. It assumes that the translator will translate the document from start to end, segment by segment. After each segment is confirmed, the translation memory is updated, and the best match applied to the next segment. ExampleIf segment 1 is translated and confirmed (the translation memory is updated), when a lookup is performed in the translation memory for segment 2, a 75% fuzzy match is found because the first three words are identical to the translated text in segment 1. Segment 1:Can I have a sandwich? Segment 2:Can I have some sweets? |
Report locked segments as a separate category |
When this option is selected, the Analyze Files report displays as a separate category all the locked segments found in the files. Knowing how many locked segments are in the project files can help you better estimate the time required to translate the file, as you would not normally need to translate or edit locked files. The Locked category in the Analyze Files report includes the manually locked segments as well as the PerfectMatches and the locked 100% and Context matches (no longer listed under their own categories). |

The frequently occurring units are placed in an *.xliff file for translation. A separate *.xliff file is produced for every language pair. The *.xliff files are placed in the project's Exports folder. The *.xliff files can be translated and the translation units added to the translation memories before work begins on other project tasks. A unit has to occur in the project source files more times than or equal to the number set in the Number of occurrences box. |
The export *.sdlxliff files will be added to the Exports subfolder in the project folder.
