You may want to edit the source segments in the document if you have small typos, such as a spelling mistake. You can then choose to update your TM with the corrected information and update the original source document by selecting File > Advanced > Save Source As.
The ability to edit source segments in the Editor view is a setting that you can select in the project settings. You can enable this when you create the project or during the project lifecycle. To edit the source segments from the Editor view, press Alt+F2. The segment is surrounded by a orange box to indicate that you can edit the segment:
You cannot edit the source text for:
Project packages for which source editing was disabled
Documents containing tracked changes or comments in the source text
SDL Edit (*.itd) documents. Studio allows you to edit the source segments in the Editor view but cannot save the changes to the source *.itd text.

If source editing is disabled for the project, you cannot edit the source of any translatable file in the project. |
After you edit a source segment:
When you edit the source, depending on if you have the document open for review or translation, it may result in different changes to the segment status.
If you are using the duplicate display filter in Studio and edit a source segment, the filter results are not automatically updated. You need to close and reopen the document to refresh the duplicate display filter.
