Use the QA Checker 3.0 > Inconsistencies settings to specify what checks are run as part of the QA Checker verification. This option allows you to check for inconsistent translations and repeated words.
These settings appear in multiple dialog boxes in SDL Trados Studio. Click here for more information about finding the appropriate dialog box.

Setting Description |
InconsistenciesNext to each check on the right-hand side is a drop-down list with three options: Error, Warning and Note. Select for each check the severity you want to apply if that check finds errors. |
|
Check for inconsistent translations |
Select this to check for identical source segments that have different translations. When the QA check results are displayed in the Messages window, the identical source segments are listed and the first translation found is displayed. |
|
If you select this option, translated text will be regarded as being identical, even when the inline tags differ, for example: This is a test will be considered the same as This is a test. |
|
If you select the option, translated text will be regarded as being identical, even when the capitalizations differ, for example: Run a Concordance search will be considered the same as Run a concordance search. |
Check for repeated words in target |
Select this to check for words that are repeated in the target segment. If repeated word is found, second instance of this word is reported. |
|
If you select this option, numbers will be excluded from repeated words check. |
|
If you select this option, words will be compared regardless of their case. |
Check for unedited fuzzy matches |
Select this to check for fuzzy matches from the translation memory that have not been edited. |
|
If you select this option, only confirmed fuzzy matches that have not been edited are reported. |
|
If you select this option, all fuzzy matches that have not been edited are reported regardless of if they are confirmed or unconfirmed. |
Only check if match scores below |
If you select this option, only fuzzy matches below the percentage specified here are reported. If you do not select this option, all fuzzy matches (everything below 100) are reported. |
