QA Checker > Numbers

Use the QA Checker 3.0 > Numbers settings to specify if  numbers, dates and times should be checked to see if they were converted correctly to the target language.

These settings appear in multiple dialog boxes in SDL Trados Studio. Click here for more information about finding the appropriate dialog box.

Numbers

There is a drop-down list next to each check with three options: Error, Warning and Note. For each check, select the severity you want to apply if errors are found.

Check numbers

Select this to check whether numbers from the source segment were used correctly in the target segment.

For example,

  • Incorrect Conversion: the English source segment says 5,000 and the German target segment says 50.000.

  • Correct Conversion:  the English source segment says 5,000 and the target German sentence says 5.000 in German.

Check dates

Select this to check whether dates from the source were used correctly in the target segment.

Check times

Select this to check whether times from the source were used correctly in the target segment.

Check measurements

Select this to check whether measurements (e.g. 1kg, 1cm, etc.) from the source were used correctly in the target segment.
