QA Checker > Trademark Check

Use the QA Checker 3.0 > Trademark Check settings to specify trademark and copyright characters that you want to check are correctly transferred from the source segments to the target segments.

These settings appear in multiple dialog boxes in SDL Trados Studio. Click here for more information about finding the appropriate dialog box.

Check trademark characters

Select this to enable the trademark check.

Next to this check on the right-hand side is a drop-down list with three options: Error, Warning and Note. Select the severity you want to apply if this check finds errors.

Action

Click this to display the Action drop-down menu where you can perform the following commands:

Add Item: Enter a trademark string in the text box beside the Action button and click this to add the string to the list of trademark strings below.
Update Item: Select a trademark string in the list to display it in the text box beside the Action button. Make the necessary changes and click this to update the trademark string in the list.
Remove Item: Select a trademark string in the list and click this to remove it.
Clear Items: Click this to remove all trademark strings from the list.
