Document Structure Column (Editor Window)

The document structure column appears in the Editor window in the Editor view. For each segment, the document structure column contains a code that indicates where the segment text appears in the source document. This is useful when you are deciding how to translate a segment. For example, text in a header may be translated differently to text in the body of a document.

Place the cursor over a code and the cursor changes to a hand expand_a_context_information_code.jpg. Now, click to display the Document Structure Information dialog box where you can see more detailed information about the segment structure.

NOTE

You can choose not to display the document structure column. To remove this column, select File > Options from the Ribbon. The Options dialog box is displayed. Select Editor from the navigation tree. The Show document structure information option is under Side-by-side Editor.
