The following table describes all commands that can be displayed on the Standard toolbar.
The toolbar contains different commands, depending on which view is active, and on whether a document or a translation memory is open.
This list is sorted alphabetically.

Copy Selection Click this to copy the selected text to the clipboard. Shortcut command: Ctrl+C Only available in the Editor view and Translation Memories view. |

Cut Selection Click this to remove the selected text and put it in the clipboard. Shortcut command: Ctrl+X Only available in the Editor view and Translation Memories view. |

Find Click this to find text in the active document, the page currently displayed in the active translation memory or in a selection. The Find & Replace dialog box is displayed. Shortcut command: Ctrl+F Available only in the Editor view and Translation Memories view. |

Help Topics Click this to display the application help. Shortcut command: F1 |

New Project Click this to display the opening page of the New Project Wizard. Use the wizard to create projects and prepare source language documents for translation. Shortcut command: Ctrl+N Click here for more information. |

New Translation Memory Click this to create a new translation memory. The opening page of the New Translation Memory wizard is displayed. Available only in the Home view. |

Click this to quickly open a document and start a new translation. Starting a translation using this method bypasses all of the settings you select when you start a new translation with the New Project wizard, for example, selecting processing setting for pre-translation. These settings can be specified after the file is opened. The Open Document command can also be used to open an existing translation file, an SDLXLIFF file. Shortcut command: Ctrl+Shift+O |

Open Package Click this to open a project package or return package and display the Open Package wizard. If the project that this package is associated with already exists in your installation of SDL Trados Studio, that project becomes the active project. If the project that this package is associated with does not already exist in your installation of SDL Trados Studio, the project is created and that project becomes the active project. Open Project Click this to open a project and set the project to be the active project. Available only in the Home view. |

Open Translation Memory Click this to open an existing translation memory. The translation memory is added to the list of translation memories in the navigation pane in the Translation Memories view and the contents of the translation memory are displayed in the TM side-by-side editor window. This translation memory becomes the active translation memory. Available only in the Translation Memories view and Home view. |

Options Click this to view and customize the settings that control how SDL Trados Studio looks and operates and to define your default translation settings. The Options dialog box is displayed. Available only in the Home view. |

Paste Click this to paste the contents of the clipboard into the current segment at the cursor point. Only available in the Editor view and Translation Memories view. |

Redo Click this to restore the item or items removed using the Undo option. Click the arrow to the right of the button to see a list of the Undo actions you have performed and choose the ones to redo. Shortcut command: Ctrl+Y Only available in the Editor view and Translation Memories view. |

Refresh View Click this to update the information in the view. Shortcut command: F5 |

Replace Click this to find and replace text in the active document, the page currently displayed in the active translation memory or in a selection. The Find & Replace dialog box is displayed. Shortcut command: Ctrl+Shift+F Available only in the Editor view and Translation Memories view. |

Save Document Click this to save the active document:

Undo Click this to undo the last edit command or remove the text you have just typed. The Undo command also indicates what is available to be undone. Click the arrow to the right of the button to see a list of actions available to be undone and choose the ones to undo. For example, Undo Delete: enables you to undelete the text you just deleted and Undo Type: enables you to undo the typing you have just performed. The Undo Type: option also displays the text that will be deleted when you click Undo. Shortcut command: Ctrl+Z Only available in the Editor view and Translation Memories view. |
