How to Improve Your AutoSuggest Results

If you are receiving too many or not enough suggestions from AutoSuggest during translation, you can change your AutoSuggest settings to increase or decrease those suggestions.

1. Select File > Options.

2. In the Options dialog box, select AutoSuggest from the navigation tree.

3. Change the number in the Show the suggestions window when there are X or fewer suggestions option.

• If you have this setting very low, the suggestions window is only displayed when you have typed more characters to narrow it down.
• If you have this very high, the suggestions window is displayed immediately and the results are narrowed down as you type more characters.

4. Change the number in the Show the suggestions which have X or more characters option.

• If you have this setting very low, the suggestions window may include more results.
• If you have this very high, the suggestions window may limit the results that are displayed.

5. Clear the check box next to the High suggestions which have already been used option if you want to include suggestions that have already been used in the segment translation.

6. Select the check box next to any additional AutoSuggest providers to increase your results: Termbases, AutoSuggest Dictionaries and AutoText.

NOTE	To use any of these providers as an AutoSuggest resource, you need to have: Added termbases and AutoSuggest dictionaries to your project Created AutoText entries

7. Clear the check box next to the Case Sensitive option to include results from AutoSuggest that do not have matching capitalization to the word you are typing.  

8. Click OK to save your changes and to close the Options dialog box.
