Hunspell is automatically selected as the default spell checker in SDL Trados Studio. Using Hunspell you can:
Work with Custom Dictionaries in Studio.
Use the Ignore All list.

Studio contains Hunspell dictionaries for a number of languages, as shown in the following table.
The table contains a list of the standard dictionary files in the Hunspell sub-folder of the SDL Trados Studio program folder. The naming format is: <language>_<country>.dic.
You can also create and add custom dictionaries to Studio. Click here for more information about custom dictionaries.

A dictionary is a text file. It has one word per line, in alphabetical order. The first line of the file is the number of words.
The text file must be in UTF-8 format. To find out how to change to UTF-8 format, refer to the documentation for your text editor.
