In the Terms
View, select the Termbases tab.
The default termbase has the icon:

Double-click the termbase to make it the default.
The default termbase is the focus of SDL MultiTerm. Anything you do that involves the termbase is applied to this termbase. For example, if you to add a termbase entry it will be added to the active termbase.
You can have several termbases open at the same time, but only one of them is the default termbase.

The first termbase that you open is made the default termbase, but you can make any termbase the default.
The default termbase is important because it is the only termbase which can be browsed.
