This topic describes how to enable and disable automated actions in SDL Trados Studio. When you are working in the Editor view, the following actions take place automatically:
When the cursor moves to a new (unconfirmed) segment, SDL Trados Studio automatically performs a translation memory lookup.
After performing a lookup, the best match is automatically applied to the segment.
Segments translated by applying a 100% translation memory match (or a Context Match) are automatically confirmed and the cursor is moved to the next unconfirmed segment.
When you confirm a segment manually, the new translation is automatically added to the translation memory and the cursor moves to the next unconfirmed segment.
You can choose to switch any or all of the automated actions off.
To enable/disable automated actions:
Select Tools > Options from the menu bar. The Options dialog box is displayed.
Select Editor > Automation from the navigation tree. The Automation settings are displayed on the right.
Make the required changes to the automation settings.
Click OK to save your selections and close the Options dialog box.
