SDL Trados Studio performs a termbase search when a segment becomes the active row or you can choose to manually perform a termbase search. Settings are available to change what results are returned and also change the way that the termbase is searched to improve performance. See Search Settings for more information.
Choose where you want to modify the termbase search settings.
Select Language Pairs > All Language Pairs > Termbases > Search Settings from the navigation tree.
Under Search Settings, specify the following:
Select Show recognized terms with no available translation if you want SDL Trados Studio to display a recognized term even if the term does not have a translation in the termbase. You may want to do this if you want to add the translated term to the termbase.
Changing the minimum match value, the search depth and the term repetition threshold will increase or decrease the quantity of results returned.
If you have multiple termbases, define the order in which they are searched under Search Order. This defines settings for manually searching multiple termbases. For more information, see Termbase Search Order.
