Create a separate security plan for each termbase that you host on an SDL MultiTerm server.
List the data fields in the termbase and the termbase objects, and decide what levels of security are needed for each of them.
List termbase users and their access requirements. Put the users into groups (which will be roles).
Collate these two lists, to identify which groups of users need which access rights.
Log in as super user and, in User Manager, Create the user accounts as needed.
In User Manager, change the properties of the user accounts
Create a role for each user group you identified when you created the security plan. Assign access rights to each role according to the plan.
Remove users from the Public role as required.
Add users to the roles as identified.
Add users to the termbase as required.
Modify the termbase objects access so that users and roles have the required access.
Assign termbase objects to users if required.
Notify users as required, with their login details, access rights, and location of the termbase.
