Overview: Managing Projects

Editing Project Settings

You can edit some of the project settings you specified when you created a project in the New Project wizard. For example, you may want to add additional target languages if you decide you want to translate the project files into another language.

Opening a File

When you open a file from a project there are three different commands available. Each command opens the file in the Editor view but the Editor configuration changes depending on which command you selected. Each configuration is designed to assist you in the task you are assigned to complete.

Packages

A package is used to assign work to another team member. A package contains all of the files that need to be sent to a project team member in order for them to commence work on the project or it can contain work that has been completed. Once the package is created, you send it by e-mail to the team member who will be working on the project files. This eliminates the need to send multiple files or multiple e-mails and enables all project information to be sent with project files in a coherent structure.

Marking a Project as Complete

This is a way to identify whether a project is completed and does not delete any project data or intermediate project files.
