SDL recommends that you only open WorldServer project packages with SDL Trados Studio. While it is possible to open a WorldServer project package file directly from your Web browser's download dialog box or by double-clicking it in Windows Explorer, doing so may have unexpected results.
Use the following procedure to open a WorldServer project package:
Make sure you know the location of the WorldServer Project Package file on your PC.
Start SDL Trados Studio ( Start > All Programs > SDL > SDL Trados Studio 2009 > SDL Trados Studio 2009).
Select File > Open > Package from the menu bar, or click the Open Package button on the Standard toolbar.
Navigate to the WorldServer project package file (.wsxz), and select it.
Click Open. SDL Trados Studio opens the WorldServer project package and prepares to import its contents.
When the package import preparation is complete, click Finish.
In the Browse For Folder dialog box, click OK to accept the default project folder, or choose another folder. You can create a new folder by clicking Make New Folder.
NOTE |
You must import a project package into an empty folder, not one that already contains files. |
Click Close.
SDL Trados Studio imports the contents of the WorldServer project package and displays its Projects view. You are now ready to work on the project files in SDL Trados Studio.
