How to Add AutoText Entries

This topic describes how to add AutoText entries. AutoText entries are entered directly by the user. An example would be a standard copyright text or a disclaimer. They are based on the target language. These entries can then be used in AutoSuggest.

To add an AutoText entry:

  1. Select Tools > Options from the menu bar. The Options dialog box is displayed.

  2. Select AutoSuggest > AutoText from the navigation tree. The AutoText settings are displayed on the right.

  3. Select the language into which you want to enter the AutoText entry from the Target Language drop-down list. This is the target language you are translating into.

  4. Type your AutoText entry in the AutoText entries box.

AutoText entries must be five or more characters in order for them to be offered as suggestions in AutoSuggest.

  1. Click Add to add your AutoText entry.

  2. Click OK to save the settings and to close the Options dialog box.

In order to use the AutoText as a source for AutoSuggest, you must first select the AutoText option to enable AutoSuggest.
